2023 Tyre Announcement

Zestino confirmed as official Tyre Partner for 2023 Motorsport UK Drift Pro Championship

Organisers of the Motorsport UK Drift Pro Championship are pleased to announce that burgeoning tyre manufacturer Zestino has been confirmed as the championship’s official Tyre Partner for 2023. This increased association establishes Zestino as a key sponsor in a move that sees its Acrova 07A specified as the control tyre.

Launched in 2021, the Motorsport UK Drift Pro Championship broke new ground for the sport in Britain by becoming the first ever Drift competition to be authorised by Motorsport UK. With the expertise of the Time Attack organising team behind it and with a calendar of eight rounds taking place at many of the country’s top race circuits this year, the championship has firmly established itself as the top tier of Drifting in the UK.

The Zestino Acrova 07A is a road legal semi-slick tyre designed with a deeper tread pattern that combined with its unique compound, allows drivers to achieve greater running time compared to many other Drift tyres on the market whilst providing plenty of grip which is needed in the current era of drifting. Consequently, the 07A has become the number one choice for many drivers, not just in the UK but all over the world.

“We are delighted to have Zestino fully on board with us as a main sponsor in 2023 – and possibly beyond – as we develop the Championship and continue to raise the bar for Drifting in the UK”, says Championship Coordinator James Lelacheur.

“Zestino has been involved with the championship since the very first round took place at Brands Hatch in summer 2021 and using the 07A as the nominated tyre has helped to ensure drivers compete on a level and consistent playing field. We’re therefore pleased to build on our association with Zestino and continue to offer competitors an opportunity to use a tyre that is highly regarded within the sport.”

Axel Hildebrand of Anglo American Oil Company – the UK distributor for Zestino – is equally as excited about the company’s increased association with the Championship and the opportunities that the partnership provides:

“The past 18 months has seen the Motorsport UK Drift Pro Championship firmly established in the UK and we’re delighted to be part of it as it continues to develop. It features many of the UK’s top race circuits and encourages a high standard of driving, so I’m confident that the 2023 season is going to be epic!

“The Acrova 07A’s extreme durability combined with its handling-character makes it an ideal choice as a control tyre, helping competitors to lower running costs by reducing the number they’ll need, whilst offering a high level of performance that allows drivers to put on the best show possible.

“It’s therefore great to know that our tyres will be seen doing what they do best in front of the 1000s of spectators who attend the events which, coupled to the branding around the venues, will provide us with the opportunity to promote Zestino to the drivers, teams and a large and enthusiastic audience.”

The Motorsport UK Drift Pro Championship kicks off its 2023 calendar with two rounds at Cadwell Park on 30th April and 1st May. It then heads to Brands Hatch for another double header on 10th and 11th June, with the remaining events all single rounds: Oulton Park on 15th July, Donington Park on 20th August, Brands Hatch on 24th September and Snetterton on 22nd October.
